Mixing Species of Frogs and other Animals
This is by no means a complete list, but I am trying to collect a list of frogs and fish that seem
to live together ok.
If you have anything to add to this list, please contact me.
Note: to qualify as a "safe" combination, please make sure that
your frogs/fish/whatever have lived together in the SAME tank for AT LEAST 2 YEARS.
Combinations seen in pet stores DO NOT qualify as often times species NOT compatable
are housed together without ill-effects because it is a short term solution!
Note also, even if these species appear to live ok together, always beware of overcrowding!
The more animals in a confined space, the more likely disease can happen!
African Dwarf Frogs
- Goldfish
- Neon Tetras
- Coolie Loaches
- Clown Fish
- Bala Sharks
- a SINGLE Beta Fish (more than one and the fish fight!)
Firebellied Toads
- Firebellied Newts
- large goldfish (in the water part of a large half-and half tank.)
