Frog Of The Month
This Month's Featured Frog is:
Swimmer
from Haddam Elementary School
This was sent in to me with a nice essay from students in Mrs. Healey's third grade class at Haddam Elementary School in Higganum, CT. They have a classroom frog named Swimmer.
They write:
Swimmer is an African Clawed Frog who loves eating crickets, tics,
guppies, and ladybugs. She was hatched at Haddam Elementary School in
April of l995. Mrs. Healey once bought her a three inch algae fish for
a friend but she ate it. Needless to say, Swimmer now lives alone.
Each spring she lays eggs, which she then eats.
